Square Metre is an independent service that helps small teams find office space in Dublin, Ireland. The data controller is [Company name, address].

What we collect

When you submit a brief, we collect:

  • your name, email address and phone number
  • your short office brief: headcount, area, monthly budget, move date and lease length

When you request a viewing, we collect:

  • your name, email address and phone number
  • the example spaces and viewing times you selected, up to three, including any route you planned

Before you submit, your answers, selected spaces, times and route live only in the page memory of your browser. Nothing is saved until you press submit. If you type a one-line description of your office, it is turned into answers in your browser and is never sent or saved; only the structured answers are sent, and only when you submit.

Why we use it

We use your brief to match you with suitable office spaces, and to pass your brief and contact details to the one broker or operator who fits. That broker or operator may pay us a referral fee. The service is free to you.

We use a viewing request to ask the broker or operator for the space to confirm a time with you.

Our lawful bases

Consent for sharing your brief or viewing request with a broker or operator. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us. Withdrawing stops future sharing; it does not undo sharing that already happened.

Legitimate interests for handling your request and running the service, such as storing your brief and replying to you. You have the right to object to this. If you withdraw consent to sharing, we will not rely on legitimate interests to share your brief anyway.

Who we share it with

Only the broker or operator who fits your brief. You can ask us for their name at any time.

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.

Current private preview

During the private preview, submitted briefs and viewing requests are stored internally only. Spaces and viewing times shown are example data, not live bookings. We do not forward them to anyone, send emails or create calendar invites automatically. Any sharing with a broker or operator would only happen based on your consent, as described above.

How long we keep it

We keep your brief, viewing requests and contact details for 12 months, then delete them.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to object to processing, to withdraw consent, and to data portability where applicable.
